The Yungang Grottoes are located in Shanxi, China and are a series of ancient Buddhist cave temples dating back to the 5th century. The official website for the grottoes is http://www.yungang.org.cn/en/index.html.

In the surrounding area, visitors can also explore the Hanging Temple of Hengshan, which is a unique temple built into the side of a cliff, and the Wutai Mountain, which is a sacred Buddhist site with many temples and monasteries. The Hanging Temple is open daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm and admission costs 130 RMB (approximately $20 USD) per person. The Wutai Mountain is open daily from 8:00am to 6:00pm and admission costs 168 RMB (approximately $26 USD) per person.
